Kitchen Remodelers in Lansing, IL

Lansing has about 28,284 residents and sits in the south suburbs, and the 26 kitchen remodelers on this page spread across Cook and Will counties. Creative Custom Cabinet & Bookcase LLC is the one working out of Lansing itself, a woodworking shop that builds kitchen and bathroom cabinets in solid wood along with bookcases and other custom pieces for homes and offices (3.8 from 16 reviews). Everyone else is a short drive away in Tinley Park, Frankfort, Crestwood, Orland Park, South Holland and similar towns.

Lansing's houses are old. Half of the housing units were built in or before 1964, and the large majority were built before 1980. That makes the EPA lead-safe renovation rule a live issue here. Homes built before 1978 fall under it, and anyone paid to do work that disturbs painted surfaces in those homes must be certified, with employees trained in lead-safe work practices. In a town where most houses predate 1980, it is a reasonable first question for any remodeler.

Tinley Park and Frankfort supply much of the trade. Tinley Park Kitchen & Bath Shoppe has operated since 2005 with a showroom in the historic downtown area and four cabinet lines (4.2 from 47 reviews). Frankfort Home Remodeling has been in business for over 15 years (5.0 from 16 reviews), Skol Industries brings more than 20 years of full-service remodeling (5.0 from 16 reviews), and Job 1 Home Improvements has worked in Frankfort, Tinley Park, Mokena and nearby towns for 30 years (4.9 from 37 reviews). Kevin Szabo Jr Plumbing and Sewer in Tinley Park also remodels kitchens and bathrooms, and its 1456 reviews at 4.9 are the longest review history on the page.

Stone and cabinet work clusters around Crestwood, Lynwood and Evergreen Park. AMG Proline in Crestwood has done kitchen and bathroom remodeling since 2000, including cabinet refacing, and handles design and permits (4.9 from 39 reviews). Granite Solution 1 in Crestwood is a countertop shop with a showroom (4.9 from 288 reviews), Rogan Granite & Marble in Lynwood has fabricated and installed stone countertops for over 40 years (4.7 from 41 reviews), and MK Cabinet Supply in Evergreen Park sells cabinets and countertops from a showroom (4.9 from 60 reviews).

Closer to the Chicago line, Metro Chicago Development in South Holland grew out of restoration work after fire, water and storm damage and now remodels whole homes (4.7 from 43 reviews). Master Mynd Remodeling, also in South Holland, has more than 30 years behind it (4.3 from 22 reviews). SkyPower Remodeling in Oak Lawn works in remodeling and roofing (4.7 from 28 reviews), and Ac flawless remodeling in Homewood adds four-season rooms and flooring to its kitchens (4.4 from 30 reviews).

Many of these remodelers name Chicago as a place they work, and the city has its own rule for them. Chicago requires a general contractor license for most building construction, alteration and repair inside the city, issued in five classes by project size. A job in Lansing or one of the neighboring villages follows its own village's permit process instead.

Calumet City, South Holland, Dolton, Chicago Heights and Harvey each have a page of their own for homeowners just across the village line.
